Tige Charity
"Music to the Ears, Medicine for the Soul"
Tige Charity, native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and wife of
talented actor, Antonio D. Charity, has been singing gospel
music since she was a little girl. Around the age of seven,
she led songs like, "Jesus
Can Work it Out", "Oh Happy Day", "Through
It All", "This Rock is Jesus" and "I Won’t Complain." Tige
is extremely grateful for having a support system in her mother,
father, sister, Mo-Mo, grandmother, close friends and extended family
including the Charity family.
After graduating from Oral Roberts University,
she began doing Exhortation at her home church in Louisiana
along with singing in the praise team. Later she became
the Youth Choir Director. In 2001, she recorded and traveled
with Junior Fountain and God’s Generation, based in
Bridgeport, Connecticut. The group released their second
CD, "A Whole
Notha Level" in 2002 in which she is the lead singer
of the song, "We Lift Holy Hands". In 2003 they
were featured on Dr. Bobby Jones’ International Gospel
Artist Retreat Showcase. As she stood there singing, "We
Lift Holy Hands", she was completely amazed
that God had used "little-old-me" to minister on
such a major platform. It was truly an experience
that she would never ever forget. She especially thanks God
for Mr. & Mrs. Junior Fountain for giving her such an
anointed song to sing.
Tige has performed lead characters in musical plays from New Jersey to California. She has now taken a step of faith and recorded her first introductory CD entitled "Vessel of Honor" under her ministry "Music to the Ears, Medicine for the Soul". She sends a very clear message that she is a worshipper.
John
4:23-24, "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the
true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in
truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is
a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit
and in truth."
Psalm 91:1, "He who dwells in the secret
place of the Most High will abide under the shadow of
the Almighty."
